Being Adult

I am only a girl when I imagine how awsome adult's world is. Its great being grown up. No body will shout when I don't want to finnish my supper.. No body care what time I need to go to bed even when it's in the midle of the night. No body will schold me when I am lazy to clean up my bed and my own room. No body care about what should I eat for my launch even I always take junk food. It great being adult I can do anything I want to, the important thing isthat my sister will not yell and shout at me
" small little funny rabit anymore" that will be the greatest thing ever. I am only a girl when I imagine how complicated adult's world is...lets see whats up... If I was my Mom... I must be very stress when I couldn't find parking space for my car....(my Mom always shouting when we out of parking area in one supermarket) If I was my older sister.... I must be very panic when my phone's credit is running out....(she can't call her boy friend any more) If I was my brother or my Father... I must be very sad when my favorite food ball team lose....(they always sad when Liverpool out of the game...so sad) Ohhhhh... being adult is complicated I think I need to think hard to be like them.. or probably I don't want to grow up. But....If I need to grow up, I dont want to be like my mom, my sister, my brother or my Dad... I just want to be me... my world like today. MOM.... IAM AFRAID TO BE ADULT

TEACHING ENGLISH FOR CHILDREN

Firstly... I like to say thank you to Mr. Muna ( my partner) and all of my students of Islamic kindergarten Sudirman V Ambarawa... This is for you my little Stars...

My Students At B1
As an International language, English has gained its popularity all over the world, including Indonesia. In the past English only  taught as a secondary schools, but today however, the teaching English of is expanding into primary school also kindergarten setting.
The phenomena have caused many English educators charged with teaching teacher education, curriculum and material development to raise question about how the best to teach English as a foreign language to young children.

Teaching English for young learners invloves more than merely teaching the language. Both social and cognitive development of learners need to be taken  into account when planning  for them. In my experiences the best way to teach them are simply playing game. And rather than focus on individual development it is also very good idea  to promote class interaction as far as posible.
Children do like playing and it has been said that playing is the only thing children taken seriously, they love playing and they are learning while they playing.
So many things we can use to teach English for children. Based on my experiences when I am teaching my students it useful when using some kind of activities like songs, nursery rhyme, pictures, and games.

  • Songs

Begin the class with song
I always begin my class with lead them to some songs and they really interest with this and enjoy the moment. The children will be likely to hear as they grow up because of the " universal nature" of the song in this way. They not only learn a language but also material and culture. By a song we also introduce new lesson. My experience, I use one song  to teach them space ( with potong bebek angsaa lyric) by combining two language English and Bahasa.

The star itu bintang
The moon itu bulan
The cloud itu awan
The sun matahari...(etc)

Its easy but useful for me to teach them something new.

  •  Nursery Rhymes
Practice in nursery

Another medium activity that create amusing atmospher is rhyme. Like so many kind of modified rhymes:
One two take out your book
Three four open the book
Five six read them loud
Seven eight read them soft
Nine ten do it again

  •  Pictures
Picture is good
Certain kinds of ready-made pictures can be use to developed and sustain motivation to produce positive toward English and to teach some language learning skills. Usually I bring pieces of picture and has letter at the bottom named the picture. My students will understand fast about it.

  • Games
Lets  sleep and wake
Using games will be fun for our class. when your students get tired of learning it will be fine if we lead them for playing. in  playing also we will be able to put some material inside. one thing to remember is when they are playing the time they learning so it will be something great if we could combine both material and games.

There are actually still hundreds of  activities  can be used in English teaching language with a little foresight and gain their success . However, careful  planing before teaching is badly needed to get maximum effectiveness.

It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.

Taare Zameen Par Every Child is Special

Dekho inhein yeh hai onss ki boodein
Patto ki goodh mein aasamaan se khude
Angdai le phir karwat badal kar
Nazuk se moti hasde phishal kar
Kho na jayee yeh
Taare Zameen par

Yeh toh hai sardi mein
Dhoop ki kirane
Uthre jo aangan ko sunehara sa karne
Maan ke andhero ko roshan sa karde
Thiturti hatheli ki rangat badal de
Kho na jayee yeh
Taare Zameen par
Jaise aankhon ki debiyan mein neediyan
Aur neediyan mein meetha sa sapna
Aur sapne mein mil jaye faristha sa koi
Jaise rango bhari peechkari
Jaise Thitliyan phoolo ki pyari
Jaise bina matlab ka pyaara rista ho koi
Yeh to asha ki lehra hai
Yeh to umeed ki seher hai
Khushiyon ki nehar hai
Kho na jaye yeh
Taare Zameen par
Dekho raaton ke sene pe yeh to
Jhil mil kisi lao se uge hain
Yeh to andiyan ke khushbo hai bhago se beh chale
Jaise kaanch mein chudi ke tukde
Jaise khile khile phoolon ke mukhde
Jaise bansi koi bajaye pedo ke taale
Yeh to jhoke hai pawan ke
Hai yeh gungroo jeevan ke
Yeh to sur hai chaman ke
Kho na jayeee
Taare Zameen par
Mohale ki ronak galiyan hai jaise
Khilne ki zid per kaliyan hai jaise
Muthi mein masam ki jaise hawaein
Yeh hai buzurgo ke dil ki duyaaein
Kho na jayeee
Taare Zameen par
Taare Zameen par
Kabhi baatein jaise dadi naani
Kabhi chale jaise num num pani
Kabhi ban jaye bhole saawalo ki jhadi
Sanate mein hasi ke jaise
Sune hoton pe khushi ke jaise
Yeh to noor hai barse gar pe kismat ho padi
Jaise jhil mein lehar aye chanda
jaise bheed mein apne ka kandha
jaise manmauji nadiya
jhaag udaye kuch kahe
jaise baithe baithe meethi si jhapki
jaise pyar ki dheemi si thapki
jaise kaanon mein sargam
hardam bajti hi rahe
jaise barkha udati hai bundiya…
kho na jaaayeeee yehhhh
Kho na jaayee yehh
kho na jaayee yehh
kho na jaayee yehhhh..
Look at them they are like fresh drops of dew,
They are in the lap of the leaves jumped from the heavens,
They stretch turning over and over,
Tender pearls laugh when they slip and fall.
Hope they don't get lost, these stars on Earth!

They are the rays of sun during winter,
They have come down in gardens to decorate it,
To enlighten the darkness in our hearts,
They give us warmth,
Hope they don't get lost, these stars on Earth!

Like the sleepiness inside those eye-lids,
In those sleep are sweet dreams,
and wish in those dreams we get some sort of an angel,
Like the fountains filled with colors,
Like butterflies upon blossomed flowers,
Like a relationship of selfless love.

They are waves of hope,
They are a dawn of wishes,
Its eternal happiness.
Hope they don't get lost, these Stars on Earth!
.

See they are like on the chest of the nights,
Blossomed like brightness,
They are the fragrance of the orchard,
flows from the gardens,
Like broken bangles on glasses,
Like the face of blossomed flower,
Like somebody plays a flute,
from the trees.

They are breeze of the winds,
yes they are the life in music,
like the rhythm of tunes,
Hope they don't get lost, these stars on Earth!

Like the lighted streets of a locality,
Like a determined bud set to blossom,
Like the seasonal breeze caught in your palms,
They are the blessings of the elders,
Hope they don't get lost, these stars on Earth!

Sometimes sit like grandpa and granny,
Sometimes naughty like the streaming water,
Sometimes create an array of innocent questions,
Like a giggle in grave silence,
like gold lips that smile,
They are the shining stones that shower on you if you are lucky.

Like the moonshine on a lake,
like a known person in a stranger's crowd,
like the falls which froth as if giggling,
like taking a nap as you sit in the noon,
like the cosy touch of love,
like music to the ears that plays forever,
like the drizzling heavens.
